Friends

Hours and hours of drywall work melted away to less than two hours when friends and family showed up. Wonderful!

Learn Something New Everyday

That’s not only words to live by but the general state of things around here. Some of it is obvious, like: Hummingbirds get pissed when you take away their feeder even if it’s only to re-fill it. The birds firmly believe I should of had the forethought to do that while they were asleep or taking care of other business.

Other things become obvious after you learn, like: If you’re importing expensive things from foreign countries, you need a Broker. Who knew? Now, I have a Broker to keep my Attorney and CPA company. I’ve been waiting for the delivery of a nice new shiny still from Portugal. And waiting. Eventually, I discovered it was waiting for me in Spokane while US Customs was waiting for me to get a Broker to take care of a few little item$. OK. Now I have a Broker and everyone seems to be happy. My Broker seems very happy. He thinks he will make me happy, too because he can make my life easy the next time I want to import anything else. He also thinks he can help me export anything I want all over the world. He also thinks sending things to all 50 states will be a *snap* with his help. He knows what Ridge is all about and he thinks we’re going to work fine together. I’m not so sure but if he helps me get my copper here, I may be more open to his help. Curiouser and curiouser.
Funny note: My Broker called concerned because the item description on the Air Waybill said, “Decorative Copper Alembic.” He wanted to make certain I was getting the real deal. I assured him all was well. It’s good to have people watching out for you.

The insulation is in! I hate insulation but the difference it made in the building was immediate and wonderful. The vapor barrier is in! I’m hoping to get the drywall started and finished before this time next week. I hate drywall but not nearly as much as insulation.

We had a guest this week. Mat B. (Verona Gentleman to the older WSers) drove from Pittsburgh to Northwest Montana for an extremely nice visit.

Verona Gentleman, indeed! Mat is welcome back anytime and we hope he brings his girl, Melissa with him next visit.

I had hoped to have pictures of Jules with the Copper but it’ll wait another day or two. I’m not worried about it since I have my Broker on the job! Hah!

Cheers, ya’ll
