Well, not really Arkansas but another step for us. Yesterday I dug a trench through the clay (and rocks) from the power box to the ’stillery: 12″ deep X 35′ long. Yes, I have blisters. This morning the electrician arrived, ran his conduit, hooked this to that and said the rest was up to me. Running circuits into the circuit breaker box is no big deal and just like that, we have POWER: Lights, music, fans, pumps, battery chargers and more!
Talk about a small town. The electrician has a son that use to hang out with Mike and his running crew of Wade, Kevin and Kent. I remembered Chris and a play that he was in at the college 10+ years ago. As the electrician was getting ready to leave, he passed by the large copper condenser, “This looks fun. What are you going to make? Oils and stuff?” “Nah, gin and a few other things.” sez I. He hands me his card and as he’s leaving says, “Call me when you start cooking. My wife and I love our Gin & Tonics.” Yes sir, I will. He was a very helpful and friendly gentleman and gave us more than a good deal for his time today. Thanks, Wayne.
Then I turned the music on in the ’stillery and filled the trench back up, scattered some grass seeds over the scar I had dug across the lawn and started contemplating the next big project: Paper work. Yeah, I’m smiling.
