What would you call a bottle of booze if you could? Consider a blanche absinthe: Simply Ridge Blanche? (Ridge white) I think it must say, “Ridge Distillery” and it must say “Blanche” or some nonsense (Think: Blanchette or Wormwood Blanche). I’m looking for ideas and I’d love friends (and WS friends, esp.) to help me name the impending product. Want to play a game? What would you call it?

I believe Genesinthe was thrown around the park once or twice when the announcement went through.

Big Sky Blanche.
It has an expansive sound, and the Montana sky is often vivid (la) bleue, so it seems appropriate.

Ridge, white and le bleue. A patriotic drink.
Good luck with the name thing.
Cheers!

Jessica Tandy Blanche?
Vivian Leigh Blanche?
Fading Southern Belle Blanche?
Or perhaps, simply: Dubois.
Or even: Nate Is A Nerdlinger Blanche.

I like Big Sky Blanche, Absomphe. The Moose Drool boys might not care for it, though. : )
How about “A Blanche Runs Through it” ?
Kidding. The only thing I know about Montana comes from Pirsig and MacLean.

If you ever decide to change that, the welcome mat is always out, Todd. Cheers!

OK, this is it…”Big Medicine Blanche”.
A bison named Big Medicine (1933-1959) was born in the wild on the National Bison Range on Montana’s Flathead Indian Reservation. The name “Big Medicine” was chosen due to the sacred power attributed to white bison. Following his death in 1959, his body was preserved and is now displayed at the Montana Historical Society.

I think the last post leads to Good Medicine Blanche…

Big Medicine or Good Medicine are my favorites. Unfortunately, there is no way the TTB would approve any name with “Medicine” in the name. Pity.
Hmmm, White Cloud Blanche sound interesting until you consider it means “White Cloud White!” That’s kinda funny!

It’s a shame your Ridge isn’t on this side. You could name it La Bleu Ridge Blanche.

And then we could finally get that fishing trip going, too!

That’d be a checkmate, friend. April?
I really dig the the story on ‘Big Medicine’. Perhaps a spin-off with TTB compliance…”Big Bison” Blanche.
